First post to this thing, we'll see how it goes.

A lot of the songs in my head are triggered by hearing something that reminds me of a song.  It takes very little to trigger this, sometimes just a couple of tones, or a small piece of overheard speech. 

Other times, something will just pop into my head without any conscious reason.  Sometimes, it will be a song I haven't heard in *years*.

I started logging the songs on my phone last night, but text entry on a mobile device is far from optimal and quick, so I think I'll just start carrying a small spiral-bound notebook devoted to this purpose.

If there's a specific reason I was reminded of a song, I'll write it down here, otherwise, you'll just get a song and a time.

8:43 pm  Deee-Lite - Groove is in the Heart
This song was in an Episode of "How I Met Your Mother" that I'd watched the night before.  We were out eating dinner and someone whistled, reminding me of the song.

9:08 pm  Love Among Freaks - Berserker
This is a song from the movie "Clerks".  I haven't heard it in quite some time.  Something about a bass riff from "Groove is in the Heart" triggered this.

There's a bunch of space here, because I was working and didn't have a way to quickly write stuff down.  The soundtrack in my head is almost constant, so there's a lot of stuff missing here.  There are a bunch of sales people where I work, who ring bells and such when they make big sales.  Because of this, Anita Ward's "Ring My Bell" is in heavy rotation on weekdays.

 While reviewing this post, my wife commented "You're so Crazy".  Close enough.
